Andrew R. Heimann, L.Ac, M.S.T.O.M.

Acupuncture Physician

Andrew has dedicated his life to understanding the body and mind connection. He understood at a young age that your body affects your mind and your mind affects your body. In college he pursued these questions by majoring in psychology and Religious studies with an emphasis on Eastern religions. While in college he began studying Tai Qi.

After graduating from Indiana University, Andrew moved to New York, New York to attend Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) and work to complete a 3000 hour Master’s program. In addition to the normal course work, Andrew also apprenticed with Dr. Wen-Chiang Pai in two clinics, studied Nei Gong with Clarence Lu, and studied Medical Qi Gong with Ken Andes.

After 3 years at PCOM NY, Andrew moved to PCOM San Diego. He took full opportunity of the externship programs like the U.C.S.D. free clinic. The clinic combined Western medical interns from the University of San Diego and PCOM interns to provide treatments for the homeless or low income patients.

After graduating, Andrew moved back to Indiana and opened The Lapis Center with another acupuncturist. WIthin several months, they opened a second satellite clinic. The Lapis Center also participated in Volunteers in Medicine, a community based health care clinic for people with low income and no health insurance. The Lapis Center would take referrals and treat patients free of charge.

Andrew eventually went into practice by himself. In addition to his private practice, he has worked in two chiropractic offices with Dr. Grindstaff and Dr. Webster. This was an excellent opportunity to see how two different modalities can work together with communication and common treatment goals.

Andrew also opened a private practice in Bloomington, Indiana. During his years of practice, he recognized that not everyone can afford private sessions, and therefore might not be receiving the healthcare they need. So he created a community-style acupuncture program in Bloomington. This is a new approach to treatment that is gaining popularity on the East and West coasts.

“I am committed to providing you the best healthcare. Please look around the website and learn as much as you can. An important part of the healing process is to be as informed as possible. Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions please contact me.”
Andrew R. Heimann, L.Ac, M.S.T.O.M.

Samantha Monus

 Samantha Monus

 Personal Health Therapist

I am happily devoted to my life's work in the pursuit of assisting others become their personal best. I do not claim to know it all, for I am welcome, eager, and excited to discover new knowledge and concepts. My background has led me to pursue a career in the health industry, I like to call myself sort of a "health crusader." It may sound silly to some, but when all is said and done... your health, whether it be of the mind, body, or spirit is all we have. My passion is to help others live their life to the fullest .. in the best shape they can possibly be.. inside & out.

My theories on fitness are scientifically proven time and time again. The physical body is affected by our mental state. Physiological changes in the body can occur from a thought, sight, or even smell. Something this profound should not be overlooked. To correlate this concept, is key to the success in your physical being as well is overall life.

I hope that I can do my part as others have helped me improve the quality of my life and enjoy it to the fullest. I feel blessed and hope to be able to share what I have learned with you. As I learn and continue my personal journey, I hope we can live it up to the fullest together.

Angela Tompkins

My passion for healing the human body intensifies continuously! The more I learn the more I yearn for and the more I want to share. I immersed into this giant beautiful powerful field of the holistic healing and wellness, which is forever changing and growing. The human body, the mind, and spirit will always teach us, as long as we are always open to receiving it. Upon traveling thru South America I realized I needed to be in the holistic world. I lived in Costa Rica for a year studying massage therapy. After school ended I built a massage table to start my profession there and taught yoga as well. I am currently studying to get mybachelors in science for Alternative Medicine. Helping people with their pain and aiding to enhance their health is my goal.
